University of Iceland
The University of Iceland was established in 1911. The university is organized into 5 academic schools and 25 faculties. It is the only university in Iceland offering undergraduate and graduate studies in all the main disciplines. In addition, the it is an internationally renowned research university. The School of Education at the University of Iceland educates teachers for preschools, basic schools and upper secondary schools, sports and health scientists, social educators and leisure professionals. The University Student Counselling and Career Centre (USCCC) provides the university's students with several kinds of support and services, such as advice on course and programme selection, work methods and resources for disabled students or students with special needs
